First, choose how long you’d like your session to be and book your session. You do not need to choose your photo package until your receive your proof gallery. Please note that the session fee is due at time of booking.
3 hours of photo coverage at location of your choice + one edited photo.
6 hours of photo coverage at location of your choice + one edited photo.
Next, you spend time with your family (or friends!) and just live your life while I document it. There’s no need for special outfits or cleaning the house. You literally just live your life. I aim for a laid-back experience that documents these precious moments – no matter what they look like. After your session, you’ll receive a link to your proof gallery from our time together. This is when you choose your photo package!

Documentary photography takes the stress out of family photos. Forget about dragging everyone to a random location in clothing you had to force them to wear. No need to bribe anyone to participate or worry about making sure your kids (or the other humans in your life) smile for the photos. Documentary photography captures your real life. I come to hang out and photograph you and your loved ones living.
Your session can take place anywhere you’d like! Your home, someone else’s home, the playground, out doing errands, on a walk, out camping, at the beach – basically anywhere within the Trail, Castlegar, Rossland, Salmo, and Nelson area and all the places between!
We roll with it! I take the time time to get to know your humans when I first arrive. It is important to me that everyone feels comfortable – being in front of a camera can feel vulnerable for some folks. I never force anything – I know from experience with my own family that that never works. Usually reluctant family members will let their guard down and join in when they see that this isn’t your usual family photo shoot where they’re forced to smile and stand a certain way.
The turnaround time for photos varies depending on the photographer and their workload. I aim to get your photos to you within 3-4 weeks for family, couple, and postpartum sessions. Please expect 3-5 weeks for birth photography. I will always send you a couple of sneak peak photos within 48 hours of your session!
